Young Africans Sports Club, locally known as Yanga, is a Tanzanian football club based in Dar es Salaam. Their home games are played at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium. It is one of the two biggest teams in Tanzanian football, their archrivals being Simba. Both teams are based in Dar Es Salaam. The team's colors are yellow and green. Yanga has won more Tanzanian Premier League titles (i.e. 23 Titles) than their arch rivals Simba SC. However, Simba has fared much better on the continental stage than their archrivals. Yanga played their first game of the 2011 Kagame Castle Cup on 26 June 2011. Yanga managed to draw 2-2 against Al-Merreikh and the Sudanese team made a record by scoring all four goals (Yanga's goals were own goals)
Shabani Nonda is the most notable player to play for the club. He had a stint with Yanga in the middle of the 1990s before heading to Vaal Professionals based in South Africa.

During a match with Azam FC on 10 March 2012 in which Yanga lost 3-1, five of the team's players were fined and banned by the Tanzania Football Federation for assaulting the referee during the game. Stephano Mwasika was found guilty of directly punching the referee, was handed a 1 year ban and a 1 million shilling fine by the federation. Nurdin Bakari and Omega Seme were fined half a million shillings and handed with three match bans. Jerry Tegete was banned for six months and assistant captain Nadir Haroub was ordered to serve six-match ban. The club itself had to part with half million for crowd trouble caused by their fans during the match. An additional half million shillings fine was also been imposed on the club after more than five of their players were yellow carded during the game.
